Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, your basic Google profile information. When you register for an event we collect the registration details you provide (name, email and optionally phone number). Institutions provide their organisation details, addresses, social handles and donation information. We also collect basic usage data such as event views to operate the platform.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to operate Deenly: managing your account, processing event registrations and tickets, letting you follow institutions and save events, sending transactional emails (confirmations, reminders, invitations and password resets), and showing institutions aggregate analytics about their events and followers.

3. Sharing with institutions

When you register for an event, the hosting institution receives your registration details so they can manage attendance and check you in. When you follow an institution, they can see aggregate follower counts. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Cookies & sessions

Deenly uses cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Data storage & security

Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider, Supabase, with access controlled through row-level security. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

6. Retention & your rights

We retain your data while your account is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Deleting your account removes your profile; registration records held by institutions for events you attended may be retained by those institutions.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated revision date.
